The Toronto Raptors are shaking up their roster after a first-round playoff exit, reportedly placing forward Brandon Ingram on the trade market in a bid to land a superstar.

Despite a solid regular season in which Ingram averaged 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists over 77 games, his performance plummeted in the postseason. In the first-round series against Cleveland, he managed just 12 points per game on 32.8% shooting, and a foot injury forced him to miss the decisive Game 7.

With Ingram set to earn $40 million next season and a player option for $41.9 million in 2027-28, Toronto sees this as a critical moment to cash in. According to Fadeaway World’s Fran Leiva, the top target is Kevin Durant. A deal could involve Ingram plus role players, pairing the 37-year-old Durant with rising star Scottie Barnes to give the Raptors a veteran playoff boost.

Another bold scenario involves Giannis Antetokounmpo, whom the Bucks have reportedly made available. Toronto could package Ingram and multiple first-round picks to create a fearsome frontcourt duo of Giannis and Barnes. Alternatively, a smaller adjustment would be trading Ingram to the Knicks for Mikal Bridges, a move that would refine the roster without a total rebuild.
While these talks remain speculative, the Raptors’ decision will shape the Eastern Conference landscape. Can Ingram fetch a true superstar, or will Toronto settle for a retooling move? The offseason promises to be eventful.
