Chaos! Balde and Casadó celebrated with fans at Plaça Catalunya

FC Barcelona celebrated its second consecutive La Liga title in grand style. The Blaugrana made history by clinching the championship after defeating Real Madrid in El Clásico, and the players later partied at the Boris Club. However, before arriving at the exclusive nightclub in Barcelona’s upscale district, two players took a detour to transform a spontaneous celebration into the start of a tradition.
Last year, the academy graduate surprised the Cules who packed Canaletes. This time, construction on La Rambla prevented fans from accessing the fountain, so Plaça Catalunya became the venue for the Barcelona festivities—and, unsurprisingly, Marc Casadó did not miss out.
“Where do we meet, Culers?” the Sant Pere de Vilamajor native posted on his social media. Minutes later, the youth product appeared in Plaça Catalunya to sing and celebrate the league title with the thousands of Barça supporters who took to the streets after the victory over Madrid.
He was joined by another squad member, Alejandro Balde. “With my people,” the left-back wrote on Instagram alongside a video that captured the moment. Without a doubt, Hansi Flick’s project at the Spotify Camp Nou would not be the same without La Masia and the fact that the core of the squad is made up of academy graduates.
In Plaça Catalunya, still wearing their Blaugrana shirts, Casadó and Balde led the customary chants for such Barcelona celebrations. The midfielder didn’t need a megaphone to take charge of the traditional ‘Un dia de partit’ and, for the second straight year, become the life of the party. However, for safety reasons, the players didn’t linger long in the city center.
Pedri, Eric Garcia, and Dani Olmo also repeated their celebration: they arrived at the Boris Club by bike. Last year, with Inigo Martinez also in the group, they used the Bicing service to go to the hospital to celebrate the title with Ferran Torres, who couldn’t join them because he was recovering from an appendectomy that kept him out of the decisive derby for the title.
