Carcado ranks second among Spartak managers in the 21st century to reach 10 wins in fewest games

Head coach of Spartak Moscow, Juan Carlos Carcedo, has moved into the top two on the list of managers who led the red-and-whites in the 21st century by reaching 10 victories in the fewest number of matches. This milestone was achieved following the 29th round of the Mir Russian Premier League, where Spartak defeated Rubin Kazan 2-1.

Spartak Moscow secured a 2-1 win over Rubin Kazan, with goals from Wu (4′) and Solari (60′), while Yukic pulled one back for Rubin in stoppage time (90+3′).

Carcedo needed just 15 matches at the helm to notch 10 wins, along with four defeats and one draw. Only Massimo Carrera has reached this mark faster in the 21st century, accomplishing it in 14 games.

After 29 rounds, Spartak sits fourth in the league table with 51 points, two points behind third-placed Lokomotiv Moscow.

In their next fixture, Juan Carlos Carcedo’s side will travel to face Dinamo Makhachkala. The team also has a Superfinal of the Russian Cup against Krasnodar on the horizon.
