After clinching the La Liga title, Barcelona stars Marc Casado and Alejandro Balde slipped away to celebrate the championship with supporters at Plaça de Catalunya.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the players tried to blend in unnoticed. Casado arrived at the square wearing a balaclava, while Balde pulled his hood over his head.
The duo mingled with the crowd, chanting alongside fans and taking part in the celebrations. At one point, supporters lifted Casado onto their shoulders, and the midfielder began firing up the crowd. He later posted a video of the festivities on his social media.
Spanish media reported that over a thousand people took to the streets of Barcelona after the team’s victory. Due to ongoing renovations in the La Rambla area, fans gathered at Plaça de Catalunya rather than the famous Canaletes fountain.
During the celebrations, the fans also showed their support for head coach Hansi Flick, who had lost his father the day before. Despite the personal tragedy, the German tactician led the team to a 2-0 win over Real Madrid.
