Lens manager Pierre Sage has confirmed that both Allan Saint-Maximin and Florian Thauvin will be available for Wednesday’s high-profile Ligue 1 clash against Paris Saint-Germain. The match, scheduled for 21:00 local time, comes with limited competitive stakes: PSG are on the verge of clinching the league title, while Lens have already secured second place and are focused on the Coupe de France final against Nice on May 22. Speaking at Tuesday’s press conference, Sage announced that his squad is nearly at full strength.
Apart from suspended full-back Saud Abdulhamid, and long-term absentees Jonathan Gradit and Régis Gurtner, every other player is fit and ready. Saint-Maximin and Thauvin were rested during Friday’s 1-0 victory over Nantes but now both are pushing for a starting berth against the European champions.
