Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) confirmed on Tuesday that South Korean national team midfielder Lee Kang-in has sustained a left ankle injury. The club announced via its official website that the injury does not appear to be serious, and Lee will undergo separate indoor training for the next few days rather than joining full team sessions. The issue is not expected to affect his participation in the upcoming North and Central America World Cup.
Lee sustained the injury during the first half of PSG’s Ligue 1 home match against Brest at Parc des Princes on March 11. He started the game but was substituted in the 53rd minute after experiencing discomfort in his left ankle. Prior to this match, Lee had played full 90 minutes in the previous two league games.

Manager Luis Enrique has been rotating his squad heavily as PSG balances league and UEFA Champions League commitments. He fielded key starters in the more crucial Champions League semi-final, while deploying an entirely different starting XI for the league fixture against Brest.
PSG secured a 1-0 victory over Brest thanks to a goal from Doué, maintaining their lead at the top of the table. With two league games remaining, the Parisians are six points clear of second-placed Lens (67 points) with 73 points. Their next match is an away clash against Lens on March 14 at 4:00 AM local time. A draw or win would confirm the Ligue 1 title for PSG, but Lee is highly likely to miss this game due to his ankle issue.
The club also confirmed that defenders Willian Pacho and Nuno Mendes, as well as midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery, are continuing their rehabilitation. Defenders Achraf Hakimi and goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, who are recovering from injuries, are undergoing individual training.

PSG will face Arsenal in a one-off UEFA Champions League final in Budapest, Hungary, on March 31, aiming to secure a domestic double this season. Lee’s full recovery and return to peak condition will be crucial for him to be included in the matchday squad for the final.
