After the final whistle, goalkeeper Nikita Medvedev approached the stands and, using profanity, shouted at fans who displayed banners reading “Our Coach” in support of Alexei Shpilevsky, recently dismissed from Paris NN.
“There, your coach brought us to this, and you still put that up! Go support your coach then, *****! I’ve been busting my ass for you for two years, *****. What did he do for you? ****, shame!” Medvedev said on the pitch.
In late April, the Nizhny Novgorod club fired Shpilevsky, who had been in charge since summer 2025. Vadim Garanin was appointed as the new head coach.
Paris NN, with 22 points, remains in the relegation zone—15th in the Russian Premier League standings. In the final round of the season, the team will visit Rubin on May 17.
